Not long after Super Talent's newest series of industrial SSDs made its debut, the same collection of drives gained members equipped with the SATA interface, dubbed DuraDrive AT2.

Super Talent apparently decided that it was time to offer something newer and better for the enterprise sector in terms of storage.

As such, it put together a new batch of solid state drives, set to become part of the same collection as the ones released a few days ago.

The newcomers go by the name of DuraDrive AT2 and are divided into two pairs.

One pair is made up of the SSDs built out of single-level cell (SLC) NAND Flash memory chips, while the other one includes the two MLC-based ones.

All of them boast the SATA interface and utilize the 2.5-inch form factor, while their transfer speeds are of up to 125 MB/s when reading and 110 MB/s when writing.

"The new DuraDrive Series demonstrates Super Talent's commitment to the Industrial, Embedded and Military markets,” said Super Talent COO, CH Lee.

“While other manufactures are focused on large volume products for the masses, SuperTalent is focused on designing products for customers who are looking for more,” he added.

“SuperTalent is making durable industrial spec built - to order products. Supporting SLC and Secure Erase options for our most trusted customers" Lee went on to saying.

The DuraDrive AT2 solid state drives have a MTBF of 1 million hours and support for ECC/EDC, plus bad bit management software and patented wear leveling technology.

Finally, the iTemp technology lets them function at temperatures of -40°C to +85°C, while the Secure Erase eradicates all trace of sensitive data when needed.

The SLC drives are of 16 GB and 128 GB, respectively, while those made of MLC have capacities of 32 GB and 256 GB. They are already shipping to enterprise application builders, but the press release did not mention prices.
