Duke Nukem Forever will see a massive patch be released in the near future for all platforms, with its developer, Gearbox Software, detailing some of the changes that are coming at least to the PC version of the game.

Duke Nukem Forever was released last month and, despite the negative reviews, still managed to become the second best selling game of June, hot on the heels of the critically praised L.A. Noire.

As you can imagine, the game, running on an old engine and coming after a 14-year long development cycle, wasn't perfect, as quite a few glitches and issues were encountered by players.

Gearbox Software, the studio that got it ready for release, knows this and posted an official message on its forums, detailing the changes that are going to be made through a future update to Duke Nukem Forever on all the platforms it was released on, including the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

"The development team has been hard at work combing through the feedback provided here and elsewhere, with updates based on this feedback currently in the works for all three platforms," the Gearbox community manager said.

"Among the changes coming to PC are a new expanded inventory option that allows you to carry up to four weapons in the single-player campaign, Valve Anti-Cheat System (VAC) support, push-to-talk voice chat, the ability to adjust FOV plus other fixes and improvements that are still being tested."

Even more details will be released at a later time, as the updates are being finished, so PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners of Duke Nukem Forever can look forward to more information about their respective updates soon.

Duke Nukem Forever finally arrived last month, on the aforementioned platforms, after being in development for over 14 years, and, as you can imagine, it disappointed gamers because it failed to live up to their extremely high expectations, despite its retro charm and classic Duke Nukem humor.
