A new year, new Duke Nukem Forever speculation! What is undoubtedly the most long awaited game in history (it has been in development for more than a decade) will now come to Xbox 360s. For real?

Duke4.net reveals that 3D Relams is looking for a new environment artist and a new programmer, who will most likely work on Duke Nukem Forever. So far, so good, but the job description lists both PC and Xbox 360. So, this could mean that 3D realms is preparing an Xbox 360 version of Duke Nukem Forever.

A curios aspect of Duke Nukem Forever is its abbreviation: "DNF". If you've played some racing game, you know that if you crash and burn and don't finish a race, the screen at the end of the race shows your name with this same abbreviation (DNF) next to it. In racing games "slang" DNF means Did Not Finish. So, DNF (Duke Nukem Forever) and DNF (Did Not Finish)...Ironic don't you think?

The first Duke Nukem games was back in 1991, and although now you might consider it pure crap, back then it was notable because of its smart level design which allowed very fast gameplay. On top of this, it was among the first shooters that allowed you to destroy everything onscreen, obstacles and enemies. Then came 2003 and Duke Nukem II came out, followed by Duke Nukem 3D in 1996.

In the list of titles of "Duke Nukem Saga" also features a Playstation console title named Duke Nukem: Land of the Babes, expansion packs for Duke Nukem 3D, among them the Plutonium Edition which features a new episode, a new alien and a new weapon, and an expansion pack CD containing 500 new levels for the Duke Nukem 3D.
