It seems Capcom is dropping hints that Dudley might be another new character coming to Super Street Fighter IV, the updated version of the fighting game, which arrived in 2009. A new image, that you can see next to this article, popped up showing Balrog as he is hit in the face by a rose. The symbol is linked to Dudley, a character initially introduced in Street Fighter III and who will now augment the roster of fighters for the Super version of the fourth installment of the game.

Capcom initially mentioned that it planned to offer about ten new characters in Super Street Fighter IV and until now, nine are set to make an appearance: T. Hawk, Dee Jay, Adon, Cody, Guy, Ibuki, Makoto, Juri and Dudley. It seems that another spot is open and Capcom might make an announcement in the coming weeks.

Dudley is portrayed as a heavy weight boxer who has both technique and speed and can launch devastating strikes. He has won several championships and, at one point in the series, even received the title of “Sir.” Dudley decided that his style could only be improved if he traveled around the world and faced tough opponents. Super Street Fighter IV is set to introduce a few changes to gameplay, with ultra combos confirmed for the title. It will also have new online-oriented game modes, like a Team Battle, which can feature as many as eight players, and the new Endless Battle that sees the winner of each match face off against a string of other players. There are also some fresh bonus stages offered and Capcom has mentioned a bonus offered to those who already own Street Fighter IV and also pick up Super.

Super Street Fighter IV is set to be released on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and on the PlayStation 3 from Sony. It will arrive on April 27 on the North American market, one day later in Japan, and on April 30 in Europe.
