The Elder Scrolls V has been announced as moving the action for the action role-playing game to Skyrim, a Northern province, and one of the main threats that gamers will have to deal with are powerful dragons.

One of the main elements of the game talked about is the new Dragon Shout system, which will allow the main Dragonborn character to develop abilities that are far beyond those of other inhabitants of the world and will be linked to his quest.

It seems that the main way to develop the Dragon Shouts is to look for inscriptions on the walls of the areas you visit and it seems that each ability that is being earned in this way can be upgraded and its power magnified by looking for more words that are linked to each shout.

The developers are also mentioning that actual dragons in the province of Skyrim can also deliver new shouts to players, but it's not clear whether the two types of Dragon Shouts are different or if the essence of a dragon is needed for all of them.

One mentioned shout is called “Unrelenting Force” and will allow gamers to push back all enemies that are around when in use.

Each shout will have its own cooldown period and players will need to be careful and use each one only when the situation really requires it.

The team at Bethesda that is working on The Elder Scrolls V also emphasizes that much more attention is being paid to the design of the world, with eight people at work on creating the areas that gamers will be exploring, where Oblivion only had one.

Skyrim will also have cities with buildings designed mostly by hand, in order to deliver a sense of place to the gamer and make him feel part of the Skyrim province.

Bethesda has picked out November 11 as the launch date for Skyrim and has every intention of delivering the game on that day.
