Beloved franchise classics get reworked

Trilogies are always cool when it comes to video games: it means that the game was successful enough to get more than one sequel and, at the same time, that the developers are not so money thirsty to keep releasing sequel after sequel (and I truly hope you get the irony now). The Dragon Quest "trilogy" is going to be released in Europe by Square Enix under the name of Zenithia Trilogy, starting this September.

The games Europeans are going to get are Dragon Quest: The Chapters of the Chosen, Dragon Quest: The Hand of the Heavenly Bride and Dragon Quest: Realms of Reverie. It hasn't been suggested how much we should wait until the second game in this DS trilogy is released but we dare to say that December would be a good call for the second game.

John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix Ltd. comments, "Dragon Quest: The Chapters of the Chosen is another excellent addition to the beloved Dragon Quest series. I hope that game players throughout Europe will enjoy the humour and excitement and look forward to future adventures with Dragon Quest: The Hand of the Heavenly Bride and Dragon Quest: Realms of Reverie."

Having in mind that Dragon Quest is considered a more popular game than Final Fantasy, it's clear that we'll have lots of reasons to be happy that the franchise hits the little Nintendo DS handhelds. We'll get completely 3D graphics, new animations and full, dual-screen presentations - everything a remake should have in order to keep both long time fans as well as newcomers excited. Not to mention that, actually, it's the first time this trilogy will hit Europe since the original game was NES-released back in the early 90s. Also, the trilogy is going to be released in North America, as announced before.
