The North American release has been un-delayed, but Europe isn't as lucky

When Dragon Age:Origins got its first delay, from October 20 to November 3, PlayStation 3 owners got a crippling blow. The game's version for Sony's console received an unspecified launch date, and was left simply marked as to be ready "later in November." A reason, or any details regarding this decision weren't specified and everything was up for speculation.

The maximum delay for the game may have been a month, but, considering for how long the fans have awaited its arrival, and the amount of hype the game managed to generate, a single day of delay would have been felt as pure torture. But good things come to those that wait, and Origins for the PS3 is back on track and awaiting release along with the PC and Xbox 360 versions. It's nice to see a game receiving an earlier-than-previously-stated release date.

According to GameSpot, Bioware Co-founder Ray Muzyka has given his final word for the game, and no delays shall be permitted. Even if some may doubt the statement, the fact that the game has gone gold will put anyone at ease. Headed toward mass production, the only concern now BioWare has is supplying an appropriate number of games to satisfy the hungry, yearning masses. Muzyka also said that the PlayStation Trophies system for the PS3 would match the Achievements from the Xbox 360 version.

Unfortunately, the great news isn't here to satisfy everyone. Europe won't be able to get the game along with the rest of the world. Apparently, whatever the problem was that delayed the game, it wasn't completely solved, or at least the solution doesn't work in Europe. Here, the game didn't receive an update for the release date and is till expected to arrive at the end of the month. "[We're] still working on the EU release timing for PS3," Muzyka said. "We'll have an announcement on that shortly – [it's] still planned for some time a bit later in November."
