14 DAY TRIAL // MacPaw has released a new version of its all-in-one cleaning utility for Mac OS X, CleanMyMac. The application boasts capabilities such as application removal, widget uninstaller, secure file eraser, removal of the languages you don’t need, clear cache, and more.
CleanMyMac is an all-in-one utility that helps you keep your Mac clean and healthy. Using the app, you can delete useless files that pile up over time and waste valuable disk space, as well as slow down your system. According to the release notes for CleanMyMac 1.5.1, MacPaw was able to tweak the software in such a way that memory usage has been dramatically reduced during scan. CleanMyMac will now use 80% less memory, according to the developer. MacPaw also improved the Application Uninstallation module, allowing it to find much more trash files, and added Growl support, enabling CleanMyMac to inform its user about scan and clean results. Version 1.5.1 also updates the application's ignore list and adds Snow Leopard compatibility. Besides fixing a crash when needed system utilities were missing, MacPaw claims to have applied numerous UI and usability tweaks.
In tandem with a recent update to the software (which delivered a radical overhaul of the app’s UI), MacPaw also announced a new pricing scheme for its offerings, enabling more Mac users to see CleanMyMac as an affordable, yet indispensable piece of software.
