Having tested the new version ourselves, we can happily say the software handles much better, and much faster than before, from a faster launching of the application, to the “remove” feature, which is now more selective and very well organized. Another new addition the release notes seem to skip is the actual application icon, which has been redesigned as well.

The company has also announced CleanMyMac 2, a major update to the maintenance app, scheduled to arrive very soon. Existing users will be able to apply the update for free, while its open architecture will allow developers to write custom plugins.
