We already reported a week ago about Doogee's upcoming S6000 high-end smartphone, which is supposed to pack a 6,000 mAh battery and a quad-core CPU.

Well, it looks like some of the specs we mentioned in our previous article were a bit off, but the new information we got via AndroidHeadlines points to a slightly better hardware than we originally thought.

So, instead of packing 1GB of RAM, it looks like Doogee S6000 will in fact feature 2GB of RAM, while maintaining the same price tag.

This means you will be able to get a smartphone that comes packed with a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory for just $140 (€125).

Moreover, the new Doogee S6000 is powered by a 6,000 mAh battery and sports a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution. Although the resolution is a bit disappointing, the size and the phone’s price should make up for it.

The rest of the phone's specs remain the same, at least until Doogee says otherwise. This means that the S6000 comes with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, as well as a secondary 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

A premium smartphone for less than $150? Yes, please

Even though the smartphone packs 16GB of storage, users can further expand internal memory up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

We have also learned that Doogee S6000 will ship with the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box, which should be another major selling point.

Last but not least, the smartphone is said to be made out of Zinc Titanium, which should put it in the premium category if true.

Word has it that Doogee S6000 will be launched in China sometime in August for $140 outright. Sadly, we have no confirmation yet if the smartphone will be made available outside Mainland, but we will keep an eye out for any additional details, so stay tuned.
