The smartphone is likely to be launched in August

The main problem for high-end smartphones these days is that they barely last a day on heavy use. Even though handset makers are advertising their flagships as light on battery usage, the truth is that this is just PR stuff that few believe now.

So, instead of improving the battery, handset makers are now including technologies like wireless charging and fast charging, so that smartphone users spend less time without their phones.

Chinese OEM Doogee has a completely different approach with its upcoming S6000 smartphone which is expected to hit shelves in the Mainland sometime in August.

According to AndroidHeadlines, Doogee S6000 will be powered by a huge 6,000 mAh battery. Since it's so big, it would make sense for the battery to recharge in quite a long time, but this is not the case here.

Doogee's 6,000 mAh battery comes with MediaTek's PumpExpress quick charging capabilities, which should heavily cut down the time it takes for the battery to be recharged.

The huge battery will charge up twice as fast compared to regular batteries

In fact, the Chinese company claims that the 6,000 mAh battery will charge up twice as fast compared to standard batteries that are usually included in smartphones.

But this is not the only selling point of the Doogee S6000, as the smartphone will come equipped with a powerful 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, which will be complemented by 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

The large 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display is said to support HD (720p) resolution, while the 8-megapixel camera on the back will feature autofocus, dual-tone, dual-LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.

In the front, there will be a 5-megapixel camera with OmniVision sensor, which should be perfect for taking selfies, as well as video calls.

Doogee S6000 will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box and will be launched in China for just $140 outright. Sadly, it's unlikely that this handset will be available outside Mainland.
