At this year's CEATAC convention in Japan, the largest exhibition of electronics and communications industries, the predominant Japanese mobile phone NTT DoCoMo has presented at his booth two 5.1 surround mobile phones prototypes, which, at first glance, seem to be able to provide an interesting mobile experience to their future users.

The first one is a double fold-out handset, with a very intriguing choice of colors, a combination of orange, silver and pink. Most probably this cell phone will have women buyers, which appreciate this kind of color association.

The second device has an overall RAZR-like touch, that will probably make it an eventual part of the slim phone market. Its gloss like interior finish, paired with the outside brushed metal and the glassy looking keypad, makes it a fashion phone, with a huge potential market.

Above all these, the two DoCoMo mobile phone prototypes with the 5.1 surround radio sound, are meant to be device communications that can offer much more than human interrelation over the network channels. They are also meant to supply the user with a multimedia experience, with the help of its video playing and recording, music playing and picture taking capabilities.

For now, there is no info about intentions of manufacturing these devices, and all you can do is to go to Japan at the CEATAC trade show and have a glimpse of them at the DoCoMo stand.
