The cell phone will be a WCDMA/GSM tri-band.

The Motorola website has published information about a new RAZR cell phone, the RAZR MAXX, which is going to be a tri-band WCDMA, GSM 900/1800/1900, with a clamshell form factor. It will be a part of the high-end fashion phones and will have a very sleek metallic finish, combined with chemically toughened glass, and the classic RAZR dimensions: 53.3 x 15.24 x 104.1 mm.

The feature pack includes a VGA and a 2 megapixel camera with an 8x digital zoom, with support for video capture and two way video calling, a 262k colors 240x320 pixels TFT LCD display, a futuristic lighted touch sensitive keypad, an integrated multimedia player, with support for MPEG-4, H.263 video, AMR, MP3, WAV, WMA audio, enhanced audio features, dedicated external music keys, 50 MB of internal memory and an expandable microSD memory card slot, so you can have enough storage space for all your favorite games, music and videos.

It also provides connectivity through Bluetooth wireless technology (EDR Class 2), USB 2.0, EDGE Class 10, GPRS Class 10, HSPDA 3.6 Mbps (Category 6) and has features like Over the Air Synch (OTA), PC Synch, MotoSynch and Mobile Phone Tools, so you can get rid of those always entangling wires that you hate so much and enjoy a easy wireless connection with the PC.

By developing the RAZR MAXX mobile phone, with a flawless package of features and providing broadband connectivity at your finger tip, Motorola has made the logical step forward in the RAZR cell phone line-up and is maintaining its status of top mobile phone manufacturer in the world.

The RAZR MAXX doesn't have an official price or release date yet, but it will, most probably, be due for release on various carriers all over the world some time in October this year.
