Harmonix and MTV Games are saying that the new songs coming to Rock Band during this week will feature Disturbed, rockers hailing from the United States, and Silversun Pickups, The Mother Hips and TRUSTcompany. The new songs will be launched for the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 and the Nintendo Wii versions of the very popular music franchise.

This week’s pack will include: “Meaning of Life,” “The Game” and “Voices” from Disturbed; “Panic Switch” and “Sort Of” from Silversun Pickups; “Third Floor Story” and “White Falcon Fuzz” by The Mother Hips and TRUSTcompany playing “Downfall.” All the songs offered are master recordings and Xbox 360 players will be able to get them first starting with today. Those who are playing Rock Band on the PS3 from Sony will be able to get them three days later.

The whole pack can be purchased as “Disturbed Pack 02” and will cost players 440 Microsoft Points or the equivalent in real-world currency. Those who plan to get the tracks on the Wii will need to pay 200 Nintendo Points for each of them.

The tracks from Disturbed are taken from the ten-year anniversary edition of The Sickness, which is set to become available on March 23. The reissued album has exclusive content, remastered tracks and can be bought in a vinyl version. Disturbed has sold more than 11 million albums since the band was formed in 1996 and has had three consecutive albums topping the Billboard 200 chart.

Silversun Pickups are an alternative band currently on tour and could pick up the New Artist award at the Grammy ceremony. The Mother Hips are a folk and psychedelic band, which first played in 1990, having taken a break before returning with two albums, the last of them titled “Pacific Dust.”
