It seems that Capcom is going to follow the recent high definition remaster trend, as a retail listing says that the company will debut a Devil May Cry HD Collection at the end of this year.

Gaming has reached a point where quite a lot of people didn't get a chance to experience many old titles, so companies are more than happy to bring them back, either as downloadable versions for current consoles or as high definition remakes, with improved graphics, gameplay and a bigger price.

After the release of quite a few such HD collections, for franchises like God of War, Prince of Persia or Tomb Raider, Capcom is getting ready to give the same treatment to its Devil May Cry series.

According to a listing from Spanish retailer XtraLive, the Japanese company will debut the Devil May Cry 10th Anniversary edition later this year, on November 30.

The high definition collection includes the first three games in the series, Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, and Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening, all remastered in high definition and set, for the moment at least, to appear just for the PlayStation 3.

Capcom has issued a firm "no comment" on the retailer leak, which, as of right now, has been taken down from the website of the online store.

The image you see above was attached to the listing, but Kotaku quickly tracked it down, saying it was the result of some clever photo manipulation from Devil May Cry fans last year.

Still, this year does mark the 10th anniversary of the Devil May Cry series and, seeing as how the Devil May Cry DmC reboot hasn't received a concrete release date, it's possible that Capcom will deploy this HD collection in order to raise up the hype before the arrive of the new and very modified Dante, the protagonist of almost all of the games in the hack and slash series.
