In a pretty interesting turn of events for in-game advertisement, Deus Ex: Human Revolution has started displaying ads for the Star Wars Blu-ray Collection on its loading screens, not just on the various billboards in its virtual world.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution, the new sci-fi role playing first person shooter from Eidos Montreal and Square Enix, impressed a huge number of gamers across the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms with its tight gameplay, variety of choices and the unique visual style.

The title also has a special in-game advertisement system, as its various city hubs, like Detroit or Hengsha, have many billboards, which are currently filled with either fictional products from the game's world, or logos for Eidos Montreal.

Certain gamers from regions like North America or Europe may see special ads displayed, but, so far, it's hasn't been anything worth complaining.

Now, however, it seems that Square Enix and Eidos are keen on taking the in-game advertisement system a bit further, serving ads not just during actual gameplay by displaying them in the virtual world, but also while you're waiting for a new level to load.

Gamers from North America, via VG247, are now reporting that special ads for the Star Wars Blu-ray Collection are being displayed on the actual loading screens, as you can see in the screenshot above.

While the regular loading screen just depicted your state in the story and displayed various screenshots of your actual location, a banner is now ran in the lower right part of the screen, just above the loading icon, telling you about the upcoming Star Wars Blu-ray collection, which includes all the episodes in the franchise, remastered in high definition and with all sorts of extra features and modification.

Square Enix hasn't revealed anything official about this advertising strategy, but if it continues, quite a few gamers might not be pleased with it.
