The upcoming Missing Link downloadable content for Deus Ex: Human Revolution has received a proper trailer, not just a teaser one like before, as well as some fresh details and screenshots of the new adventures players will be able to experience next month.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution impressed a huge number of gamers at the end of August, managing to sell over 2 million copies since then, across the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.

Now, Square Enix is getting ready to expand the Human Revolution experience by ways of the first downloadable add-on for the game, called The Missing Link, which was officially revealed last week.

The Japanese company, together with Eidos Montreal, the game's developer, have now posted a few new details about the DLC, as well as a full trailer and a batch of screenshots.

The Missing Link, in case you didn't catch the official announcement, covers a three-day period when protagonist Adam Jensen was kidnapped by mercenaries and stuck on a boat together with legions of enemies. The regular game skips past this sequence, so players are certainly curious about what really happened.

"After being tortured by Belltower agents and having his augmentations disabled, Jensen must rely solely on his basic capabilities to escape from a freighter, destined for an unknown location.

"While fighting for his survival on the ship, he uncovers another layer to the conspiracy that he never would have suspected. As Adam, gamers will befriend new, mysterious allies and fight ruthless enemies to discover what was happening in the shadows during the events of Deus Ex: Human Revolution."

Players now get a chance to rebuild Jensen's augmentations, as well as explore new environments, meet new characters, uncover new conspiracies, while taking down legions of enemies in whatever way they choose.

Until October, when The Missing Link is released on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, check out a batch of screenshots and a trailer for it below. No word yet on if The Missing Link will be free or cost money, as Square Enix has yet to detail this aspect.
