The deal to give Nadya Suleman a much-debated reality show has finally been put on paper, as her attorney confirms for Us Magazine. Chances are high that the show also air in the US and not exclusively in Great Britain, as earlier speculation had it. Yet, the public should not expect a reality series from OctoMom, Jeff Czech insists, but more of a documentary series.

The purpose of such a documentary series would be, according to the attorney, to allow Suleman to tell her side of the story as well, after being trashed in the media and having her skills as a mother questioned by anyone, from Child Services to attending nurses and even the paparazzi who are constantly around her. At the same time, doing a documentary would allow Suleman to watch that the privacy of her children is not violated and their lives are not disrupted by the cameras.

“[Nadya and the producers] are hoping to have an arrangement whereby several events in the children’s lives would be filmed in a documentary series.” Czech reveals for the magazine, adding that production company Eyeworks is in the final stages of signing a contract with a yet unnamed network. A timeline for the show has not yet been revealed, but it is already known that Suleman has been shooting scenes for it for quite some time, since she was repeatedly snapped by the paps with a camera crew in tow.

“One of the events in the children’s lives might be their first birthday. They might be several shows aired during a year. There are all kinds of possibilities. It really depends on what the networks want. Her television program will not be like the Jon and Kate Plus 8 show. [Nadya] is looking forward to providing her side of the story.” the attorney further explains.

Back in April, Suleman too confirmed that she was doing a televised show centered on her life as an unemployed mother of 14 who, aside from taking care of her children, also had to deal with the pressure of unwanted fame. Also back then, OctoMom stressed that her program would not be a reality show in the true sense of the word, but rather a series of “home made movies” that would help her later recall all the important moments in her children’s life – a thing she could not possibly do on her own on account of there being so many kids to begin with.
