The development team at Bungie is announcing that this week’s installment of the Bungie Bounty event for the social shooter is set to introduce a twist to the classic formula, as those involved will not be ready to fight regular players but will have to tackle the Crota’s End late-game raid and prove their ability to take out the boss without using any sort of glitches.

The involved community representatives will be the leaders of the Dads of Destiny clan alliance, which is organized around a popular podcast.

The event will take place on Wednesday, February 11 at 8:30 PM Pacific Time, and all those interested in seeing how the Crota’s End raid evolves will be able to tune in on the official Twitch channel of the studio.

The Bungie developers involved include: Rob Adams, the lead world artist, Gavin Irby, a senior raid designer, and Eric Osborne.

The developers add, “If you were hoping for a chance to kick our asses and score for yourselves a fancy emblem, don't lose hope. We'll get back to the business of answering your gunfire with some special guests next week. For the sake of variety, we wanted to share a Raid as part of a joint-task force featuring some teammates from the community.”

Destiny’s Double Skirmish is also back

Those who are not interested in seeing the game makers and some community members take their best shot at Crota will be able to log into the game in order to enjoy the Double Skirmish Player versus Player experience, which introduces a new set of two-on-two battles.

The game mode is part of a long-term plan to introduce more variety to the shooter and is considered simpler than Iron Banner.

Bungie has also confirmed that it is aiming to deliver the House of Wolves expansion for the title in the second financial quarter of the year.

Rumors are saying that gamers will get roughly the same amount of content as they did in The Dark Below back in December, with a big end-game raid, strikes, and more items for Guardians to wear as they increase in level.

Bungie is also saying that a second big content drop is planned for the year and that it is designed to introduce some big changes to gameplay while adding new environments.
