The team at Bungie is announcing that during the week of May 19, when the House of Wolves expansion for the social shooter will be launched, it will not deliver the usual weekly and daily activities.

The announcement comes from the official forums of the title and fans seem to be mostly OK with the fact that they will be unable to enjoy some of the elements of the game while they wait to get access to new content.

Bungie explains that, "During the eight hours between the weekly reset and the patch download associated with the release of House of Wolves there will be no weekly, Nightfall, or daily activities available. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."

When The Dark Below expansion for Destiny was launched, the company chose to introduce new activities based on the new content the day after it has come live.

This has caused some gamers to criticize the company because they felt those who did not buy the new DLC were discriminated.

Bungie announced soon after that it was making sure activities based on the core game and those linked to The Dark Below would be alternatively offered.

Presumably, a similar system will be introduced once House of Wolves is live, although no clear details have been offered yet.

The end-game of Destiny is being expanded via two major modes

House of Wolves is designed to deliver the new experiences fans have been asking for since the social shooter was first launched.

The first new mode is called Trials of Osiris and will require gamers to set up teams and then engage in Player versus Player battles in order to get access to some exclusive rewards.

For those who want to battle AI-controlled enemies, the developers are also introducing Prison of Elders, which will challenge them to resist against waves of powerful combatants, with another set of items awaiting offered for the best performances.

The Crucible section of Destiny will also receive other enhancements when House of Wolves launched.

Bungie seems to be working on yet another expansion for the game that will arrive later in the year and is rumored to use The Taken King as a name.

It will presumably include the end-game raid that is not included in House of Wolves.
