Dell has just put in place an appealing offer for its first Windows Phone 7-powered device, the Dell Venue Pro, offering users the possibility to purchase it for only $299 without committing to a contract agreement.

The handset can be seen with the new price tag attached to it on the company's website here, where users can also purchase it with the signing of contract agreements.

With a T-Mobile agreement, the device is available for only $99, most probably the same price tag it would feature on AT&T as well, if it weren't out of stock.

The Dell Venue Pro was launched last year with a large 4.1-inch touchscreen display and with a portrait sliding QWERTY into the mix.

Initially available only with support for T-Mobile's network, the mobile phone has seen the release of a new flavor only recently, with support for AT&T's network as well.

Some of the main specs of this device include:

- The stunning 4.1" WVGA AMOLED capacitive, multi-touch display enables easier navigation. - With Office Mobile built in, you can operate on-the-go as seamlessly as you would at the office. - 5MP Camera with auto-focus and LED flash. - Take your gaming experience on the road with the smartphone that lets you play games on Xbox LIVE.

With Corning's high-quality, scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass on top of its screen, the Venue Pro also offers the quality that users are looking for when purchasing a new device.

Not to mention that it also enables them to record videos while on the go, and offers the possibility to easily share photos and videos while on the go.

“The large slide screen allows easy navigation and viewing of your email, calendar and Web. Your photos, videos and movies have never looked better in the palm of your hand. No more squinting or panning - see the full width of the Web page in one glance,” Dell notes.

The smartphone will also keep users connected at all times with their friends on Facebook or Twitter, while offering fast access to Gmail and YouTube, and more.

Dell Venue Pro can be seen on Dell's website.
