Dell Streak, the 5-inch tablet PC that Dell brought to the market in the second quarter of the ongoing year, is now available for purchase via Best Buy for only $99.99 if purchased with a contract agreement with AT&T.

Initially available for $299.99 on contract, the device was put on sale via Best Buy a few weeks ago with a price tag of $249.99 attached to it.

While the deal might have seemed appealing at the time, it definitely looks so now, when best Buy made the tablet PC available for only $99.99.

Both the black and white versions of Dell Streak have got their price tag sliced, though the singing of a two-year contract agreement with AT&T is still part of the deal.

Free of contract, the Dell Streak was priced at $499.99, which is $50 lower than the initial price.

One thing that should be mentioned here is that, while both deals would bring the device with Android 1.6 on board, the off contract offer would enable users upgrade to the Android 2.2 Froyo OS immediately.

As for the contract devices, which are locked on AT&T's network, they would receive the Android 2.2 upgrade sometime next year.

The specifications list of Dell Streak includes a 5-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity options, or a lithium-ion battery that can offer up to 10 hours of usage time or up to 16 days of standby.

The device also comes with a 5.0-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with auto focus, complemented by a front-facing camera that enables video calling, Best Buy notes.

The slate includes a microSDHC memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of storage space, with a microSD memory card included into the mix from the start.

Those who would like to purchase a Dell Streak tablet PC from Best Buy should head over to the retailer's website here.
