Publisher THQ has announced that it has launched pre-orders for the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II – Retribution: Collector's Edition, the only package linked to the new expansion which will allow gamers to get complete access to all the bonus wargear for all the six playable races in the upcoming game.

At the moment, the edition can only be pre-ordered directly from the THQ online store and costs 39.99 dollars, coming with the above mentioned exclusive wargear, six art cards linked to each of the races, an exclusive poster for Warhammer 40,000 and a high quality collector's box.

Those who are not interested in getting access to all the wargear and have a favorite race should take account of the fact that the Ork Race Pack can only be obtained by ordering Retribution from digital distribution service Steam while the Tyranid Race Pack is included only with pre orders of the normal edition that are made on the official THQ site.

Those who want content linked to the Space Marines, the Chaos Marines, the Eldar or the Imperial Guard can pre-order the game wherever they like.

Retribution has been officially confirmed as coming on March 4 in the United States, exclusively on the good old PC platform.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II was initially released back in 2009 and has introduced big changes to the Relic developed real time strategy franchise, focusing more on the exploits of named and easily recognizable tactical squads.

Cooperation and good use of special abilities were crucial to success in the initial campaign and Relic created a completely separate multiplayer side for the game, where heroes are being developed and tiers of units are researched with ultimate success depending on good control of the map.

Dawn of War II has already received an expansion called Chaos Rising.
