LucasArts seems to have a few surprises ready for us

We already told you that all the really next-gen technologies that are going to be used are nothing but magic and the whole game looks better than the hottest chick in the world, naked on the Blue Lagoon, sipping a cocktail. LucasArts knows that, but it seems that the developers want much more from the game that heads at being the best Star Wars game ever created. So we find out, via a 3 page report from Vanity Fair, that (at least) during the prologue of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Darth Vader himself will be a playable character, wrecking havoc amongst the Wookie home.

In an exclusive gameplay preview, the Vanity Fair reporter saw how the Dark Lord of the Sith hunts down a recalcitrant zombie on the Wookiee home planet, Kashyyyk. You will be able to use all of the Darth Vader's powers to fight off the mad Wookies: using the personal form of the Force, you will lift the poor creatures in the air and smash them to different objects or, impale creatures using the red-bladed lightsaber. And, boy, we are so excited when we hear all these!

Also, it appears that Matt Sloan, the guy who did the hilarious Darth Vader voice for the YouTube parody Chad Vader, will now be responsible for the real deal. Fair enough, after all!

The Force Unleashed was believed to only cast players as Darth Vader's secret apprentice, but it seems that LucasArts had a surprise prepared. Combine that with the fact that you will actually unveil new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy and history, with the action set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV and you might have a winner. One that will really become the "best move in the game", as the developers call it already.
