THQ and Vigil Games have confirmed that anyone who pre-orders the upcoming Darksiders II hack and slash title will see their copy of the game be upgraded to the Limited Edition, thus earning them free access to the first DLC, called Argul’s Tomb.

After Darksiders I impressed quite a lot of people with its great mix between hack and slash fighting, puzzle solving and world exploration, Darksiders II is set to deliver an even better experience.

We’ve already seen quite a few screenshots and videos with the upcoming game, most of them focusing on the brand new protagonist, Death, the brother of Darksiders’ first hero, War.

Now, after THQ and Vigil started accepting pre-orders for the game, the two companies have confirmed that anyone who pre-purchases the title will see their copy upgraded to the Limited Edition.

“The Darksiders II Limited Edition will include the standard retail game along with a unique code allowing the purchaser the opportunity to download Argul's Tomb, the game's first single-player downloadable content pack, for free once it becomes available. All pre-orders of Darksiders II will receive the Limited Edition version of the game at no additional cost,” THQ revealed.

What’s more, the company also mentioned that a special Darksiders II Collector’s Edition will be put on sale, which includes all sorts of interesting things, like a life-sized replica of Death’s Mask.

“There will also be a Collector's Edition of the game launching on all three platforms. The Darksiders II Collector's Edition will include The Limited Edition version of the game as well as a life-sized replica Death Mask with display stand, a unique Shadow of Death armor and scythe set with enhanced stats, a digital copy of the Darksiders II sound-track and a hard-cover Darksiders II art book.”

A limited number of Collector’s Editions will be made available, so you might want to pre-order it as soon as possible.

Darksiders II is out on June 26, in North America, and June 29, in Europe, for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
