14 DAY TRIAL // After promising that Darksiders II will arrive in June, THQ and Vigil Games have now posted an actual release date for the hack and slash adventure game, as well as a list of pre-order goodies players will be able to get before the launch.
Darksiders impressed plenty of people despite the fact that it borrowed many gameplay elements from a variety of other, more popular titles, from God of War or The Legend of Zelda to Portal. With Darksiders II, developer Vigil Games wants to establish the series as a great and original experience.
We’ve already seen quite a few videos and screenshots with its protagonist, Death, and even heard that a prequel novel will be released alongside the game.
Now, THQ and Vigil have officially confirmed that Darksiders II will be out on June 26, in North America, and June 29, in Europe, for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.
Besides the actual release date, a series of pre-order bonuses are now available around the world. North American gamers can take advantage of three distinct ones, coming from GameStop, Best Buy, and Amazon, so check them out below.
GameStop: ‘Death Rides’ Pack-Features multiple exclusive side-quests allowing players to explore more of the Maker’s Realm and Dead Plains. In addition players will be able to aid an ancient Construct, battle The Bloodless and retrieve Karn’s lost treasure.
Best Buy: ‘Angel of Death’ Pack-Features enhanced armor with an angel inspired design as well as a pair of matching scythes. In addition players will receive an exclusive purple colored visual trail for their crow.
Amazon: ‘Deadly Despair’ Pack-Features an additional speed boost for Death’s horse Despair, that allows players to traverse the world at a much faster rate.
