14 DAY TRIAL // The two worked together on “Harry Potter” in 2007 but, since then, Robert Pattinson has become just a big a star as Daniel Radcliffe. In fact, they’re both such huge names they could be rivals in terms of who’s got the paler body, Dan says.
The “Harry Potter” star once said that there was no rivalry between him and Pattinson, regardless of what the tabloid media believed. Moreover, Dan acknowledged that Robert was the hottest of the two.
In a recent interview promoting the upcoming “Harry Potter” installment, cited by People magazine, Daniel jokes about a rumored feud between him and the “Twilight” heartthrob, saying there’s only one thing they could be battling out for.
Of course, the rivalry doesn’t really exist, the actor explains, but that’s not stopping some fans from believing the contrary.
“Someone was talking about this supposed rivalry between Rob Pattinson and [me], and what’s awesome about this is, between the pair of us, we are striking a blow for the paler man,” Radcliffe says, putting rumors of a feud to rest.
“We are white as sheets, so it’s a comfort,” the actor adds, hinting that, should it ever come down to deciding who’s palest, it would be hard to pick a winner
Not that Daniel doesn’t take pride in his body, as pale as it might be. In fact, he says, he’s always delighted to hear people praising him for it or even whistling their admiration.
“I did hear from a friend that when I took my shirt off [in the movie], there were some wolf-whistles [from the audience], which I was just delighted about. I was really, really pleased,” Daniel adds.
In July last year, when asked if he considered himself a teen heartthrob like Pattinson, Dan said there was no way he could ever match the other’s hotness, since he (Pattinson) literally breathed and oozed hotness.
The only way he’d ever be considered a heartthrob was “if girls like short and nerdy,” because Pattinson “has got the height,” Radcliffe said, as we also reported at the time.
