Fresh off Comic-Con 2011, Daniel Craig dropped by The Today Show to talk to Ann Curry about some of the movies he’s either finished production on or is yet to start work. Among those mentioned, “Cowboys & Aliens,” James Bond and “Dream House.”

Speaking of the first one, which is due in theaters this weekend in the US, it just had its premiere in San Diego and, Craig promises, it will offer the best of both worlds, just as its title suggests.

To prepare for the role, the British actor says he had to watch a lot of cowboy movies to get that “swagger.”

“We watched everything from Stagecoach onward. I got the chance to work with real cowboys and wranglers, and I just watched the way they walked and talked and the way they held themselves… stole the bits I liked,” Daniel says.

However, he wasn’t prepared for the aliens part in the film, so they completely took him by surprise the first time he saw the finished movie, namely the other day at Comic-Con.

“I haven’t seen it,” Craig says, adding that the first time he saw the aliens onscreen he “screamed like a little girl.”

“I saw it the other night at Comic-Con at the premiere, but I hadn’t seen all the effects coming together. I was really looking forward to it,” he adds.

Another thing he’s looking forward to is his third James Bond film, which is yet to go into production.

“We haven’t started shooting yet. We are going to start shooting in November. We have a great cast. We have a great script. The film will come out next November, 2012,” he says.

“I don’t have to bulk up much. I’m just going to get fit,” Daniel adds, when asked if he plans to gain muscle mass specifically for the role.

However, until the day he has to be on set for James Bond, Craig will be on the silver screen in the thriller “Dream House,” which also stars Rachel Weisz, whom he married in secret a couple of weeks ago.
