It’s the movie on whose set they fell in love, or perhaps only realized they’d been in love with each other all along. If only for that, Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz’s thriller “Dream House” will get lots of attention from the international media.

If not, then the trailer for it should do the trick – you can see it below in full.

Though it starts off as a pretty regular thriller / horror film, where the happiness of a family is shattered through some outside occurrence for which they are neither responsible nor connected to.

Then, the story unravels to reveal a very surprising twist and one that, according to CinemaBlend, totally ruins the chances of the film at the box office.

Still, that doesn’t mean that the trailer doesn’t promise a good movie: with a strong cast with Craig, Weisz and Naomi Watts, and an excellent story, this will probably be a critical hit.

That doesn’t explain why Universal Pictures would cut the branch under its very feet by including the aforementioned twist in the trailer.

“The Dream House production has been troubled, pretty much all along. Our sources tell us Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz are so unhappy with the movie they may not even do press for it, and that director Jim Sheridan lost control of the film to the studio,” CinemaBlend says.

“Were he still involved in the production, it seems certain that Sheridan would not have wanted this trailer to be seen,” the e-zine adds.

The trailer should have included footage of the family moving into an apparently idyllic house, where strange things start to happen, it is further said.

As such, the second part should not have even been included – and fans who don’t wish to have the surprise ruined for them should perhaps not even see it, and wait until the film comes out in theaters.

“The thing is, assuming you didn’t know that it’s one big spoiler, this is actually a pretty great trailer. Confusing, scattered, all over the map, but there’s so much going on that you can’t help be interested in it. And that may be why they’ve decided to ruin the film,” CinemaBlend says.

“It’s worth it, if it gets people in seats for that initial weekend I suppose, no matter if they walk out angry because the trailers already gave away the entire movie,” the movie-oriented publication adds.

Below is the official trailer for “Dream House,” assuming you can’t wait until this fall, when it arrives in theaters.
