Harmonix and MTV Games, the two companies behind the success of the Rock Band series who have ventured into Kinect gaming recently, have announced that their Dance Central game now has three new tracks available as downloadable content, allowing gamers to enjoy new songs and new dance routines based upon them.

As of November 23 gamers can get their dancing hands on:

The Black Eyed Peas – “I Gotta Feeling” Cameo – “Word Up!” Tag Team – “Whoomp! (There It Is)”

The Black Eye Peas track is taken from their “The E.N.D.” album and has apparently sold more download copies than any other song from the band.

Cameo was one of the biggest brands of the disco heavy 70's and made their mark with “Word Up”, which has since been remixed and re released quite a few times since them.

The Tag Team track is best known for their “Whoomp” track, which has become widely popular at sporting events.

All the songs cost 240 Microsoft Points, which is equivalent to about 1.50 dollars.

Dance Central is a Xbox 360 and Kinect exclusive.

Other titles which are offered as download for Dance Central include:

Lady Sovereign – “I Got You Dancing” Ne-Yo – “Because of You” Sean Paul – “Temperature”

The disk of the game also includes another 32 song soundtrack, with the genres ranging from rhythm and blues to pop and funk.

Dance Central is one of the more interesting releases for the new Kinect motion tracking system from Microsoft, allowing gamers to freely express themselves through dancing.

Despite the success of Rock Band and the good reviews for Dance Central parent company Viacom has put developer Harmonix up for sales, suggesting that the company is not content with the sales performances of its products.
