Mobile phone users in the United States looking for the purchase of a new smartphone this holiday season can now take advantage of some nice promotions put in place at various retailers in the country.

Among them, we can count the special price tags available for the DROID Pro by Motorola with contract options at Verizon Wireless.

For example, the smartphone was put on sale over at Amazon with a price tag of $19.99 attached to it, upon the signing of a new contract agreement with the wireless carrier.

Only those who would open a new Verizon account can benefit from this offering when purchasing the DROID Pro.

If purchased from the wireless carrier, the high-end device would cost $179.99 with the same contract option in place.

Another appealing offering for the mobile phone was made available at Best Buy, which has the DROID Pro on sale for only $49.99 for all those who would commit to a new contract agreement with Verizon.

Those users interested in taking advantage of this deal would have to head to Best Buy's website here. Amazon lists the smartphone here.

The handset was aimed at business users, and sports a 1 GHz processor inside, along with a 3.1-inch multitouch display, and the aforementioned physical QWERTY keyboard. The mobile phone also comes with 2 GB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space (a 2GB card included into the package).
