Apart from Bad Company and Heroes

DICE is getting ready to let loose its latest creation, which some say it's also its best, the Battlefield series title called Bad Company. And the same company is working, under the guide of publisher Electronic Arts, on the free to play multiplayer title Battlefield: Heroes, which forgoes the realism and the tactical focus of the previous games in favor of a more light hearted approach that emphasizes judicious use of humor. The same DICE is hard at work on the free running game Mirror's Edge, where the landscape is the enemy and few guns make an appearance.

What more can you want from a company? These are three very distinct games, with different philosophies and clearly separate audiences. If they all turn out to be hits, DICE will have plenty to brag about.

Ben Cousins, executive producer, DICE studio, says that they're not settling on just creating these games. According to him, the DICE team is now working on other three titles which will be part of the Battlefield franchise.

In his own words, Cousins points out that "Since the start of this year I've been working as executive producer for the entire Battlefield franchise - we've got five titles in development at the moment, which is probably more than you expect". I'm sure a lot of rival studious are feeling a bit ashamed by the level of productivity that DICE is displaying.

Only two of previously unknown projects were detailed. One of them is another "core game" for the console market which will probably also feature the members of Bad Company, with their wacky personalities, preference for loud explosions and dead pan humor. The other one seems to be a collaboration aimed at the Korean videogame market. DICE's partner is a company called Neowiz, which currently operates FIFA Online in South East Asia.
