The Cygnus cargo spaceship has successfully docked with the International Space Station after a week-long delay. The craft launched on September 18 and was supposed to dock a few days later, but there were some worries over a navigation software glitch.

What with the Soyuz carrying three new astronauts to the ISS set to launch a few days later, the docking was pushed back to this Sunday. The Orbital Sciences cargo ship is now safely hooked up to the ISS and all the supplies it brought are being transferred aboard.

Orbital Sciences becomes the second company to successfully dock to the ISS after SpaceX. The company has a contract with NASA for several resupply missions. SpaceX's Dragon will also continue its regular rounds to the ISS. Cygnus, unlike the Dragon, can't survive re-entry and will burn up once it's detached from the ISS and enters Earth's atmosphere.
