CyberpowerPC has just announced the introduction of a couple of new gaming desktops based on Intel’s Sandy Bridge-E processors, dubbed the Black Mamba and the Cobra, which are part of the company’s just released Fang III system series.

The Black Mamba is CyberpowerPC’s top-of-the line gaming rig and it maxes out performance by going with a second generation Core i7 processor (30% overclocked) which is paired together with two Nvidia GTX 590 graphics cards in Quad-SLI mode.

Other standard features include 16GB DDR3 quad channel memory, a 2TB hard drive, a pair of OCZ 120GB SSDs, hi-definition 7.1 audio, and an LG 12X Blu-Ray rewriter.

The system comes paired together with a Razer Lycosa gaming keyboard and matching Razer Lachesis gaming mouse, all for a base price of $4,999 (about 3,827 EUR).

Much like the Black Mamba, the Cobra is also built around Intel’s six-core Sandy Bridge-E processors, but this time they get overclocked by just 20 percent while for graphics duty it relies on a single Nvidia GTX 570 graphics card.

System memory is set at 16GB, while for storage duties the desktop relies on a 1TB hard drive and a Blu-Ray combo unit.

All these are packed inside an AZZA Fusion 400 chassis and pricing starts at just under $1,999 (1,530 EUR).

In both of these desktops, the CPU is chilled by a water cooling system, the Black Mamba coming stock with a new 480mm Advanced Hydro liquid cooling kit (available as an optional for the Cobra) which covers not only the processor but also the two GTX 590 graphics cards.

CyberpowerPC offers its customers the option of pairing the Fang III Black Mamba & Cobra desktops with a so called OC Media Server Station which is basically a second independent system placed in an extra case on top of the Fang III desktop.

The OC Media Server Station can serve as a real time monitoring and tweaking machine in addition to a home server system and is powered by an Intel Core i3-2310 CPU with 8GB of RAM and a 2TB hard drive.

All CyberpowerPC’s Fang III gaming systems can be customized on the company’s Website, where they are also available for purchase.
