Redesigned stock model

Advanced Micro Devices released not so long ago its latest graphics card from the ATI Radeon HD 5xxx series, namely the HD 5830. Needless to say, its partners took no time off and have already showcased their own versions. Now, after Sapphire, HIS, XFX and PowerColor have all unwrapped their respective cards, yet another name joins the bandwagon. VTX3D has made its own HD 5830 and, while its card's stock specs may not make it stand out, its design and color might.

The VTX3D VX5830 is only different from the products launched by the company's competitors through its red PCB and equally red cooler. Other than that, the core clock, memory specs and the rest of the adapter's feature set are all identical to those of AMD's stock model. The graphics card, thus, comes with a graphics processing unit running at 800MHz and 1GB GDDR5 clocked at 4000Mhz. In addition, the device has a memory interface of 256 bits, 1,120 stream processors and HDMI, DisplayPort and DVI outputs.

Naturally, as it is the case with all cards recently released by the GPU and CPU maker (AMD), the HD 5830 has full support for DirectX 11 graphics. Of course, the feature set is not limited to just this element. The VX5830 also boasts the ATI PowerPlay technology, which provides power-saving features, and ATI Avivo HD. The card is also HDCP-ready and can be configured in CrossFireX scenarios, for further improvements in performance.

The official product page of the VTX3D HD 5830 model makes no mention of ATI Eyefinity support (though it might have it, considering the output options). On the other hand, the lack of this feature would likely mean a lower price, which might turn out rather convenient for some end-users. Unfortunately, the company has, so far, made no mention of the product's price, but, given that it does not have any clock boosts or special cooling technologies, it should be somewhere around $250.
