ColorWare has just announced the introduction of RIM's Blackberry 9780 smartphone to its catalog. Starting this week, fans of this model will be able to order their color customized Blackberry Bold 9780.

ColorWare is known as one of the industry's leaders in altering the color of existing products. The company has a 10 year experience in the field and is one of the fastest growing privately held companies.

The firm's client list looks impressive, as ColorWare has worked with some of the biggest companies around the globe such as: Bank of America, Bell, Deutsche Bank, IBM, Lacoste, Land Rover, Macy’s, Microsoft, MTV, National Geographic, Porsche, PayPal, Tuborg, Ubisoft and many more.

Customers who wish to change the color frame of their Blackberry 9780 smartphone must pay around $160 for the softouch color or $150 for gloss. All other parts can be color-changed for free if customers choose the gloss color, while the softouch option will add an additional $10 to the bill.

The company offers users the option to choose if they want to buy a completely new customized unit from ColorWare for $800, as well as the possibility to buy just the parts, for $150.

To reduce their bills customers can also choose the “Send in” option where they ship their BlackBerry Bold 9780 to ColorWare and get it back customized in about three weeks. The option is available only for users living in USA and costs $150.

Blackberry Bold 9780 is powered by a 624 MHz processor and runs on Blackberry 6.0 platform. It comes with a 2.44-inch TFT with 65K colors support, 480 x 360 pixels resolution and touch-sensitive optical trackpad.

In addition to its full QWERTY keyboard, Bold 9780 embeds 256 MB internal memory, 512 MB RAM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 2GB card included).

The Li-Ion 1500 mAh is rated by the manufacturer for 528 hours (408 hours for 3G) of standby time or 6 hours of talk time.
