BlackBerry Bold 9780, the long rumored sequel for the highly-popular BlackBerry Bold 9700 handset, is expected to make an appearance on the market in the UK in the near future. The handset was reportedly spotted both at T-Mobile and Vodafone UK, and there are great chances that it would be released in time for Christmas.

According to a recent article on electricpig.co.uk, the BlackBerry Bold 9780 has surfaced briefly on the website of T-Mobile and Vodafone UK, proving that it would indeed arrive in the country in the near future.

Neither of the two wireless carriers confirmed officially plans to launch the BlackBerry Bold 9780, nor did Research In Motion announce anything officially on the matter, but there are great chances that the official announcement would be made in the near future.

The BlackBerry Bold 9780 made it into the wild quite a few times before, and we even had the chance to see it in some video presentations.

As stated above, it should arrive as the replacement for the BlackBerry Bold 9700 smartphone that was released into the wild about a year ago.

Sporting a candybar for factor, the new mobile phone should come with about the same features as the Bold 2 handset, though with some upgraded internals, including a faster processor, increased amount of RAM, and even more internal memory.

The handset is expected to arrive at various wireless carriers around the world when released later this year, including T-Mobile and Vodafone in the UK, or Rogers Wireless in Canada.

The guys over at theberryfix suggest that we might see Rogers launching the new BlackBerry Bold 9780 as soon as October 27th, with the device priced at $149.99 on a 3-year contract agreement.

Recently, news on Bold 9780 being on its way to Virgin Mobile in Canada also emerged, suggesting that an October launch for the handset is what we should expect.

We should note that nothing was announced officially this either. In fact, the BlackBerry Bold 9780 is still an unannounced smartphone, and we can only hope that RIM would plan on making it official in the near future.
