14 DAY TRIAL // Following the success of its Cruise Finder application for iPhone, major travel retailer iCruise has just announced the availability of the software for Android devices.
Android fans who download and install the application will have access to detailed information about hundreds of cruise ships and even more cruise itineraries.
The application features a simple interface which allows users to quickly and intuitively search the company's cruise database for any information they might need.
To further improve user's experience, the application offers multiple search options, so users can find a cruise by destination, departure date, departure port, ship, or cruise line.
“Ever since we launched our iPhone app last year, our clients have been asking for an Android version. Almost half of our mobile smart phone traffic is coming from Android devices, and it is important we accommodate this growing segment of our client base,” said iCruise.com co-president Uf Tukel.
Cruise Finder offers information about 20 different cruise lines, 200 ships and 12,000 itineraries to users who want to use the app while on the move.
In addition, they can view cabin photos and descriptions, along with deck plans, while an interesting Cruise Calendar allows them to check out with precision where worldwide cruise fleets are going at any given moment.
“More and more vacation discussion and planning is occurring away from the personal computer. We built a visually appealing app that harnesses the content and features of our websites. In this way, we can quickly and concisely communicate the value and benefits of a cruise to the mobile user,” added Tukel.
The Cruise Finder application is now available as a free download from Android Market and is fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up.
