Creative is known worldwide as a developer and vendor of many high-quality audio solutions, and it looks like the company is living up to its name now that it has delivered a new batch of speaker systems, the newest in the latest string of announcements.

Creative is one of those companies which, instead of branching out, has stuck to a single sort of hardware.

Granted, the audio technology market is fairly broad in itself, what with both sound controllers/boards and speakers, among other things, being made and sold.

The company appears to have made a point of flourishing and establishing itself as an innovator and supplier of high-quality, high-variety hardware.

That said, what Creative has now delivered is a new series of speakers which, unlike most of their kinds, do not use cables.

Instead, the ZiiSound Dx series, as they are called, are speakers of the Pure Wireless Modularity Bluetooth variety.

Not only do the speakers not need any cable to connect them to PCs, but the small wires that connect such speakers to each other have been completely done away with as well.

"What we have done in the ZiiSound Dx series of wireless speakers is to give each speaker the ability to link up to each other without the need for connecting wireless,” claimed Eugene Chong, Creative Technology's manager for marketing.

“This gives users the new-found flexibility of adding on speakers, piece by piece, all without the need to deal with cables or invest in a new home speaker system.”

In addition to the ZiiSound Dx, Creative also prepared the D80 Bluetooth speakers, which we covered a while ago in detail, here.

Other products, which have more or less already been exposed by this point, are the ZEN Style M300 portable media player and the WP-series headphones with an “invisible mic.”
