14 DAY TRIAL // Courtney Stodden is only 16 and she’s married to a 51-year-old man, actor Doug Hutchison. The two became international headliners just recently, when they announced they were married. Her mom is now speaking out on the couple’s plans to start a family.
Perhaps not at all unexpectedly, Courtney and Doug don’t want children right now because she wants to focus on her career, Krista Stodden tells Radar Online in a brand new interview.
She also stresses what she’s already said a couple of times before, namely that her daughter had saved herself for marriage because she’s a good Christian.
Now, Courtney is on birth control because she doesn’t want babies coming in the way of her launching a career in showbiz, presumably in music and reality television, Krista points out.
“She’s making sure as much as she can at this time that it isn’t happening. She’s on birth control because she would prefer to wait for children. I think Doug would love to have children, but Courtney wants to wait a few years,” Krista says of her daughter’s personal life.
“Courtney wants to work on her career. If something happens we do not believe in abortion, so if God blesses them that would be ok, but they’re not trying for a baby now,” the mother of the teen bride explains.
Should the two have a baby, Krista has no doubt that it will be “so creative,” since both Doug and Courtney are very creative artists at heart.
In the same interview, Krista also dishes some details about the unlikely couple’s life at home, saying that Courtney doesn’t know how to cook or clean around the house, with these chores being now Doug’s responsibility.
“Doug and Courtney have a lot of exciting projects they’re working on and their home life is wonderful,” Krista says.
“Courtney never showed any interest in cooking or cleaning, she always wanted a career so Doug takes care of all of the housework. He’s so sweet he’s teaching her how to boil an egg!” she adds.
The two were married in May but only went public with their relationship a short while ago. Ever since, they’ve been doing a lot of interviews, all of them meant to convince the world that their marriage was based solely and exclusively on love and respect.
