Valve has confirmed that it’s now receiving pre-orders for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on the PC platform, via its Steam service, and will soon put the shooter up for pre-sale on the PlayStation Store, for the PS3 console.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive promises to overhaul the classic online first-person shooter with enhanced visuals and a more back-to-basics approach.

The game has already been in a closed beta stage since the beginning of the year on the PC platform, with plenty of players sharing their feedback with Valve and developer Hidden Path Entertainment.

Now, as we get closer to the game’s August 21 release date, Valve has started taking pre-orders for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on the PC platform, via its Steam service.

What’s more, those who pre-purchase it receive a 10% discount and will be accepted into the closed beta on August 14.

Valve will also put the game up for pre-order on the PlayStation Store, for the PS3 platform, thanks to Sony’s upgraded marketplace that supports such mechanics.

A major update will be released for the Global Offensive beta soon, so check out all of the details here.
