Cooltek has just announced the introduction of a new series of low-cost power supplies that use a non-modular design and were developed in order to be installed in entry-level gaming systems and other mainstream computers.

The new power supply range is called the Value Series and for now is comprised of three models with power ratings of 450, 550 and 650 Watts.

Despite the different power outputs these were rated for, all the three models feature similar specifications and include a pair of 12V rails.

Ratings vary from a total combined output power of 34A for the entry level 450W PSU to 45A for the top of the line 650W unit.

As far as the available connectors are concerned, all the units feature four SATA power plugs, three MOLEX plugs, as well a single 6-pin PCI Express connector.

The 650 Watt Cooltek power supply adds another 4-pin MOLEX plug to the mix, but lacks any other sort of extra features in order to make it stand out from the crowd.

As is usually the case with such low end PSUs, none of the three models introduced by Cooltek are certified for running multi-GPU setups, either CrossFireX or SLI, but with an additional adapter the 650W unit should be able to handle a pair of mid-range GPUs.

All the three units come equipped with a low-noise 140mm fan and also include over power, over voltage and short circuit protection.

In addition, the top of the rage 650 Watts unit is also certified by 80PLUS, which means that it can deliver a power efficiency of at least 80% no matter on the loads placed on it by the system.

According to TCMagazine, Cooltek's Value Series power supplies are available right now from European retailer with prices set at €34.90, €39.90 and €49.90 ($48.8, 55.8, and $69.8), respectively.
