The PC enclosure market is always growing, and the latest company to make its contribution is Cooltek, its product being, essentially, a new mid-tower chassis sold for about 50 Euro (roughly $68).

When it comes to making a computer with one's own hands, the case is one of the items that, depending on user preference and budget, can get its buyer to spend between minutes and hours browsing.

This comes with the territory, since cases not only have variable hardware support, but many possible design elements as well.

There are still some trends that apply to many of today's existing models, and all-black paint job is one of them.

Indeed, the new mid-tower from Cooltek, bearing the name of Timaios, is painted black both on the outside and on the inside.

That said, the newcomer measures 476 (H) x 190 (W) x 488 (D) mm and can hold both smaller (micro ATX) and regular (ATX) motherboards.

Four exposed 5.25-inch drive bays are present, for ODDs (optical disk drives) like DVD or Blu-ray units, or other items, like the Addonics Snap-In Disk Arrays.

Meanwhile, the inside is spacious enough to house four 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch hard disk drives (HDDs) or solid state drives (SSDs).

As for connectivity and I/O, the top-placed panel has a pair of USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 (SuperSpeed) connectors and audio jacks (including mic).

Other features include a built-in 2-channel fan controller and, of course, some fans to give it a purpose: four pre-installed spinners exist, on the front (140 mm, white LED), the top (two 120 mm fans) and the back (120 mm).

It was discovered that the Cooltek Timaios has a price of 54.90 Euro, which is roughly the same as $68, give or take. Orders can be placed here, while the official product page (in German, alas) is here.
