Video game publisher Majesco has announced that it is planning to release two new games in its well-known casual gaming series Cooking Mama during the fall of the year, targeting exclusively handheld devices.

Cooking Mama 4: Kitchen Magic is being developed for the newer Nintendo 3DS and the main focus of the game will again be on delivering a series of mini games that approximate the various processes that lead to the creation of food in the real world.

The new game will offer 60 complex recipes for players to get through and 200 challenges linked to them to complete.

It's not clear exactly how Cooking Mama 4: Kitchen Magic will use the unique three-dimensional gaming abilities of the Nintendo 3DS, but Majesco says that the gyroscope will be in for a workout as players crack eggs and flip pancakes and pans.

The touch screen will also be used for most of the gameplay tasks, making it easier than on the earlier DS models to control the game.

Camping Mama: Outdoor Adventures is a spin-off that will only arrive on the older DS models and will take Mama out in the middle of nature, challenging her to get the resources she needs from the wilderness and then cook delicious dishes based on them.

There will be 100 touch screen powered challenges to get through and Majesco detailed some of them, like creating a fishing pole from wood and then using it to catch a fish that will then be roasted or capturing wild chickens and exotic insects that can be then turned to food.

Camping Mama will offer more than 38 levels, set in the mountains, the forests and near seas.

The publisher has also said that another three games linked with the franchise will be released during 2012, but would not elaborate on their exact nature.
