When the news of Conan the demo being up for grabs on XBLM hit the Internet, we immediately switched the 360 on to log on to the service and try it out. The respective demo however, was nowhere in sight and so we waited, and waited, until it finally arrived of course. Now Conan the demo is finally available for download, so check out the lines below containing information on what it brings, so you can decide whether the 400 MB of needed storage space is worth "wasting" on it, or not.

First of all, you should know that the demo of Conan for the Xbox 360 is free. Second of all, you should know that Conan is a better looking God of War, with exactly the same controls and almost the same combat system as the PlayStation 2 exclusive. However, given that there are some aspects that mustn't be messed with when it comes to action, adventure and hack & slash games, it provides a great gameplay experience, emphasizing its unique storyline, so you might as well download the title now and keep on reading as your 360 is saving it.

"The 75th anniversary of Robert E. Howard?s first published story and the popularity of Conan provide a great backdrop for us to offer consumers a power-packed, action adventure video game this year," said Bob Aniello, senior vice president of worldwide marketing, THQ, when announcing the availability of the demo. "The playable demo will give players a chance to step into the world of Conan, sample a variety of deadly attacks and explore an environment recognizable to fans of Howard?s original stories."

In the demo, you're going to meet this super hot warrior queen named A?Kanna, who aims her bow and arrow at Conan (you) several times as he convinces her how brave he is and that instead of killing him, it would be better if she used him to free her crewmen from a terrible plague known as the Black Death, which has spread across the Barachan Isles. A?Kanna's ship can provide safe passage from the cursed islands for Conan. The camera of course captures her luscious body in all her splendor so there are enough reasons to get the demo even if you're going to delete it minutes later.

Planet Xbox360 also confirms that "the demo will allow players to execute a portion of the game?s 100+ fighting moves and combinations as Conan decimates his foes using a variety of deadly weapons, hand-to-hand combat and even his surrounding environment."

You'll notice that even experience and life orbs/blobs coming out of destroyed objects or decimated foes are a very similar feature found in the God of War series, as well as the crates that hold different stuff, as well as the roll-to-evade move that Conan performs when you use the right analog stick... etc. But why don't you just grab that controller and see for yourself. Check back in when you have the time and leave your impressions.
