It's official, FPS fans. The demo of Clive Barker's Jericho is now officially up on Xbox Live Marketplace and ready for you to grab. Within the lines below you have a bunch of details on the game but also information about how players must take advantage of Church, Black and Delgado's paranormal talents.

Start downloading the demo ('cause it's a massive 885.17 MB one) and continue scrolling through what has been made available on the game. First of all, gamers should know that Clive Barker's Jericho is a terrifying squad-based horror FPS based on an original concept and story by horror writer and film maker Clive Barker, according to the description found up on Xbox Live's Major Nelson. An ancient evil has broken through into our world and is threatening to spread its taint across the whole of the earth unless it's stopped. At ground zero lies the Middle Eastern city of Al-Khali, a modern city built atop the ancient ruins of a dozen previous conquerors. In this demo you'll lead the Jericho team through the sewers of an immense fortress, harnessing their unique powers and weapons to destroy the hoards demonic crusaders that stand in their way.

Be advised that the game is rated M for Mature, so press cancel unless you're... 'mature'. Now, in this game, players will step into the boots of Captain Devin Ross, the fallen squad leader who, as a spirit, is able to possess and heal individual members of the team. This is where players must begin taking advantage of Church, Black and Delgado's paranormal talents:

Delgado - a pyromancer and heavy weapons expert, can unleash a parasitic flame spirit to incinerate nearby enemies, and wield a 7.62 calibre Minigun.

Church - a blood scribe, casts powerful wards, enchantments and banishments through the ritual of drawing her own blood. She also comes equipped with a customized Nodachi for ruthless melee attacks.

Black - possesses astonishing telekentic powers, which lets her guide bullets fired from her customized XM-110 sniper rifle with pinpoint accuracy through multiple targets.

So, how's that download gauge doing? Pretty slow huh? Well, it is a heavy one this Clive Barker's Jericho. Have fun playing the demo and remember that the full game launches October 26th, 2007 across PAL territories, for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The demo is not available in Germany or Asia.
