14 DAY TRIAL // She kept very mum on her relationship to music producer The-Dream, their secret wedding that reportedly took place in September last year and her pregnancy, but singer Christina Milian is finally breaking her silence. The latest issue of Us Weekly brings not only an interview with the star, but also the first photo of her daughter, Violet, as the online version of the mag, Us Magazine, informs.
Though it’s become tradition for celebrity couples to sell the first public photos of themselves and their newborn child, the one with Christina doesn’t include her partner and presumed husband The-Dream – at least, the one on the cover doesn’t. Both the singer and her daughter are wearing white, with the former’s smile being so bright it could certainly light up an entire room.
“Meet Christina Milian’s daughter, Violet. The singer, 28, and husband of six months, producer The-Dream, 32, welcomed the girl, their first child, Feb. 26 – and they debut her adorable first photo in the new Us Weekly (on newsstands now). ‘She’s got a lot of personality!’ Milian, 28, tells Us Weekly of Violet. ‘She laughs a lot!’ The Grammy-nominated singer, who had a C-section after 19 hours of labor, tells Us Weekly she has lost 27 of the 45 pounds she gained. ‘I’ve been eating salads and fruit like crazy,’ she says,” Us Magazine writes.
The mag will also include a lengthy interview with the singer in which she talks, among other things, about how she plans to nurse Violet for about a year. Like many young mothers, Christina too has doubts about whether she’ll be able to be up to the task of being the extraordinary mother she’d like to be. “She says she plans to breast-feed for a year. ‘I’m surprised how hungry she is,’ Milian tells Us Weekly of Violet. ‘Like, how do I keep up?’” the mag further says.
Christina Milian and The-Dream reportedly got married in secret at Las Vegas’ famous Little White Wedding Chapel, the same one where Britney Spears also tied the knot. Also at around the same time, word got out in the media that Christina was expecting.
