14 DAY TRIAL // It’s not unusual for celebrities who spend most of their time in the spotlight and who attract the paparazzi’s attention wherever they go, whether on holiday or just on a simple shopping spree, to choose to have very private, small weddings. However, every once in a while, they also elope, like Christina Milian and fiancé The-Dream just did last weekend, as E! Online can confirm.
The celebrity gossip & news e-zine got a hold of the marriage certificate issued for the ceremony at Las Vegas’ by now infamous Little White Wedding Chapel, the same place where Britney Spears also got married to high school sweetheart Jason Alexander. Spears’ marriage was annulled by her concerned parents only hours later – hopefully, Milian’s stands a better chance at survival, E! says.
“Christina Milian isn’t just living the dream. She married The-Dream. The R&B songbird and the hip-hop music producer tied the knot in a quickie ceremony in Las Vegas last Friday at exactly 12 a.m., per the marriage certificate filed in Clark County and obtained by E! News.” E! informs. As to this moment, the happily married couple has yet to make an announcement or, for that matter, at least issue a statement denying the report. Presumably, Christina and The-Dream are on their honeymoon, yet another secret well kept from the media.
However, despite the quickie Vegas wedding, both Christina and her producer husband often said that they would like their wedding to be a major family event, though the media would have still been kept at bay. In previous interviews, after announcing their engagement, the stars said they would like to do something like Jay-Z and Beyonce did, namely get married in an exclusive, family-only ceremony with everything, from bridesmaids and a bridal shower to having all loved ones next to them.
“As for Milian, whose real name is Christina Flores, she and The-Dream (real name Terius Youngdell Nash) confirmed back in July that they were engaged. Though she said at the time that the duo wanted to keep their wedding private, they nonetheless wanted it chock-full of their closest friends and family. Whether any of those friends and family members ended up ultimately making the guest list cut remains unclear.” E! also says.
