14 DAY TRIAL // The wait is finally, officially over: after months of reports and fan outrage, after the Charlie Hunnam debacle and even more rumors, readers of E.L. James’ original trilogy of novels are getting a first look at the characters in the upcoming “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie.
Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, unlikely lovers because one is a troubled control freak and the other an inexperienced young woman, are featured on the cover of the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly.
All the photos made available online so far are also included in the gallery below.
Grey is played by former CK model Jamie Dornan, while Anastasia is Dakota Johnson, who also has some experience as model but is probably better known as Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith’s daughter.
We can’t tell the quality of the movie based on these three photos but at least we can venture a guess on whether they have chemistry and if they come close to what we imagined of these characters while reading the books.
I have to admit that I appreciate that they had Dakota biting her lip because Anastasia does that a lot in the book, pretty much like another fictional girl on which she was based, Bella Swan from “Twilight.”
The spread also comes with an interview with the two, in which they mostly talk about their preparation for showing a lot of flesh on camera (Dakota, for one, is already working out though she never had this habit before), and how excited they are to be part of the “Fifty Shades” phenomenon.
In case you didn’t guess it, they’re very excited!
“Fifty Shades of Grey” comes out in February 2015 and is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson.
