After two years of intense media scrutiny, Chris Brown can finally say he’s learned from his past abusive behavior towards ex-girlfriend Rihanna: and he’s got the certificate to prove it.

The other day, the singer completed his court-mandated domestic violence course and got the respective certificate to attest that. Proud of himself, Brown tweeted a picture of the certificate.

“i have enough self respect and decency to be proud of accomplishing this DV class.. Boyz run from there mistakes.. Men learn from them!!!thx [sic]” he tweeted the other day.

He also attached a photo of him holding up the certificate for the camera and, while it seems to have mysteriously disappeared from his Twitter page, it can still be found online.

The certificate reads, “This certificate is presented to Christopher Brown for completion of the fifty-two-week domestic violence course of Commonwealth Catholic Charities.”

Of course, the certificate is further proof that Chris has learned from his past mistakes and, most importantly, that he’s taken all the necessary steps not to make them again, ever.

Fans must remember that it all started in February 2009, when a report broke that Brown had been arrested for alleged assault – at the time, the name of the victim had not been disclosed to the press.

Shortly afterwards, confirmation came that the victim as Rihanna and that the fight started when she found a text message from another woman on his phone – and it ended very badly for her.

Reports at the time said that Brown bashed her head against the car’s dashboard and even tried to push her out of the moving car, actions that he said he deeply regretted in subsequent interviews.

Brown did community service for his crime, paid a fine and completed the mandatory domestic violence course – and he is now officially a free man, ready to put the past behind him.
